JOB OPPORTUNITY – Enumerator

Company: Agora Microfinance Zambia

Position: Enumerator

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: All 10 Provinces, Zambia

Reports to: Head of Research and Impact

Department: Research and Social Performance (R&SP)

Project Overview:

Agora Microfinance Zambia Limited aims to conduct client surveys to gain insights into clients’ living conditions and well-being, targeting 3,000 clients nationwide.

To support this exercise, 20 reliable and self-motivated Enumerators are required to ensure efficient and timely data collection.

Period: June – August 2026 (Full-time)

Salary: Fixed (ZMW 200 daily)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews with clients to collect data
  • Follow internal procedures in data collection and recording
  • Verify data for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of collected data
  • Conduct follow-up interviews where necessary
  • Utilize electronic devices for data entry
  • Report issues or concerns to the R&SP department
  • Work within assigned geographical areas with branch support
  • Be available full-time during the project period

Training:
A 3-day training session will be held in Lusaka (27th – 29th April 2026)

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or final-year student in Microfinance, Banking & Finance, Statistics, Economics, or related field
  • 1–2 years’ experience in data collection (surveys, interviews, focus groups)
  • Well-organized and able to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fluent in at least one local Zambian language (Nyanja or Bemba preferred)
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic devices
  • Knowledge of microfinance sector is an added advantage
  • Valid motorbike license is an added advantage
