 ST THOMAS CATHOLIC SCHOOL situated in Lusaka West, kasupe Lusaka Zambia is looking for a suitably qualified teachers to fill up the position secondary (social science R.E with any other combination, maths and natural sciences) and primary teachers( ECE and a primary teacher)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Create a classroom environment that encourages exploration and independent learning of learners

2. Monitor children’s progress and adjust the lesson plan aaccordingly

3. Provide individual instruction to children in need of extra attention

4. Collaborate with other teachers and staff members

5. Encourage creativity and self-expression

6. Provide a safe and secure learning environment for children

7. Establish and enforce classroom rules

8. Assess childrens’ abilities and develop individual learning

9. Participate in field trips and other extracurricular activities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Able to create lesson plans and a stimulating learning environment

2. Knowledge of child development stages and the ability to adjust teaching methods accordingly

3. Patience, understanding, and good interpersonal skills

4. Ability to communicate effectively with parents, other teachers, and staff

5. Ability to stay organized and manage time efficiently

6. Ability to handle challenging behaviors

7. Ability to multitask and work independently

8. Commitment to professional development

9. Leadership skills

Education and Experience

1. Must be a Zambian

2. Should possess a full grade 12 certificate

3. Diploma or better in secondary education.

4. Registered with TCZ

5.Teaching experience will be an added advantage.
