We are looking for a skilled Canteen Chef to prepare daily meals for 50 to 100 employees, with a focus on traditional Zambian cuisine and occasional fancy dishes. The chef will also handle menu planning, cost control, and kitchen hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
Cook Zambian meals (e.g. nshima, beans, village chicken, ifisashi).
Prepare fancy dishes occasionally (e.g. pasta, grilled meats).
Plan weekly menus and manage food budgets.
Monitor inventory and ensure timely food procurement.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
Minimize food waste and control daily meal costs.
Requirements:
2+ years cooking experience in a similar setup.
Knowledge of Zambian and international meals.
Strong skills in menu planning and budgeting.
Good hygiene and food safety knowledge.
