Job Purpose
To provide exceptional service to guests, delivering food and beverages in a timely and professional manner while creating a warm and memorable experience. The Waiter plays a key role in upholding Lolebezi’s standards of excellence and personalized service.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and escort Guests to their tables
Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
Inform Guests about the day’s specials
Offer menu recommendations upon request
Up-sell additional products when appropriateTake accurate food and drinks orders.
Serve food and drink orders
Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
Meet with Kitchen staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations.
Follow all relevant health department regulations
Provide excellent customer service to guests
Qualifications
Certification in Hospitality Management.
Full Grade 12 certificate.
At least 2-3 years proven experience
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices is essential
Kitchen Hand x1
Job Purpose
To provide support to the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation, and ensuring hygiene standards are upheld in all kitchen areas. The Kitchen Hand plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient back-of-house operation.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that all utensils, cutlery and crockery are cleaned accordingly and are ready when they are needed.
Clean ovens, deep fat fryers, mixers, fridges and freezers
Ensuring the Kitchen floors are always clean and free of water/ fluidsTaking out garbage and ensuring the bins are clean
Conducting deep cleaning and disinfection as per the scheduleFollow the daily cleaning checklist as per kitchen standard
Proper storage and handling of chemicals
Help in preparation of staff meals
Perform daily duties as instructed by the Chef
Adhering to safety and hygiene policies and procedures
Practise the clean as you go procedure
Qualifications
Full Grade 12 certificate.
Atleast 2 years experience in the hospitality industry
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices is essential
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures
