Position: Programs Intern
About the Role
The Impact Center for Policy Research is hiring a Programs Intern to support the implementation of the Policy Reform Project. The intern will play a key role in coordinating logistics, supporting communications, tracking success, and engaging with students, partners, and media outlets across Lusaka, Kitwe, and Livingstone.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and motivated young professional interested in public policy, classical liberal ideas, and youth empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating three Policy Reform Colloquia in Lusaka, Kitwe, and Livingstone.
- Support application processing, participant communications, and data tracking.
- Draft reports, manage survey tools (pre- and post-assessments), and track participant outcomes.
- Coordinate with facilitators, partners, and vendors to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Assist in organizing op-ed writing mentorships and monitor article publication progress.
- Provide logistical and communications support before, during, and after the project.
- Maintain regular contact with participants and alumni, helping to grow our policy reform community.
Who We’re Looking For
- Recent graduate or final-year student in public policy, development studies, economics, communications, or related fields.
- Strong interest in classical liberalism, economic freedom, and policy reform.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Tech-savvy (Google Workspace, Zoom, Canva, Mailchimp, and social media tools).
- Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Based in or able to travel to Lusaka, Kitwe, or Livingstone.
