The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) is a statutory body established under the Energy Regulation Act No. 12 of 2019 to regulate the energy sector by licensing undertakings and ensuring consumers receive a quality service at an equitable price while ensuring a reasonable rate of return to the energy utilities.

*Job Offer:*

The ERB now seeks to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Zambians to fill the position of Internal Auditor (X2).

*Job Purpose:*

To support the Senior Manager Internal Audit to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Energy Regulation Board's governance, control and risk management processes in order to support the achievement of institutional objectives.

*Main Duties and Responsibilities:*

a) Undertakes formulation and implementation of audit policies and procedures in order to guide internal audit operations and facilitate adherence to set auditing standards.

b) Undertakes preparation of strategic audit plans in order to determine priorities of internal audit function, consistent with institutional strategic objectives and functions.

c) Undertakes preparation of audit engagement planning in order to determine objectives and strategies of the audit.

d) Undertakes development of audit programmes and execution in order to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control processes.

e) Undertakes timely preparation of accurate, objective, clear, concise, constructive and complete internal audit reports in order to facilitate decision making.

- Adherence to Corporate Governance tenets

- Very Good analytical, Planning and Organization skills, and keen attention to detail

- Proficiency in use of Audit Management software data analytical tools.

- High integrity and ethical attributes. Able to handle confidential matters

*Minimum Qualifications and Experience:*

- Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent

- Degree in Accountancy, or Full ACCA, CIMA, CA, or its equivalent

- Must be paid up Members of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)

- A minimum of four (5) years of work experience in auditing or accounting
