Sylva Food Solutions Limited specializes in food processing and distribution is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill various positions that are vacant in our dynamic Company under both the old and the new Processing Plants respectively. Those who MEET the requirements may apply for the following positions:
Accountant
▪ To conduct all financial transactions and activities of the company, to review and analyze financial records and keeping track of the company's income, expenditures, and liabilities.
▪ The accountant should also ensure that the company complies with all the required financial rules and regulations including analyzing financial data to make data-driven business decisions.
▪ The accountant should also advise on accounting processes, manage cash flow and help develop budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications and Requirements for accountant
▪ Grade 12 certificate
▪ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
▪ Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar role
▪ Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants
Head of Marketing and Sales
To plan, control and implement sales and marketing plans and works to meet sales targets. Promoting the company's existing brands and introducing new products to the market. Analyzing budgets, discovering and pursuing new sales prospects in order to maintain customer satisfaction; and reaching out to potential customers to facilitate demonstration of our services and products wherever there is need.
Qualifications & Requirements – Sales and marketing Manager
▪ Full Grade 12 School Certificate
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration
▪ Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in Sales Management in a Corporate Setting;
▪ Must be a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing
Head of Food and Beverage
To oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations and banquets, ensuring quality, consistency, and profitability while maintaining high standards of service and hygiene. Manage staff, developing menus, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Qualifications for Food and Beverage
▪ Grade 12 Certificate
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Diploma in Food Production and in Food and beverage service
▪ Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a similar role
Lecturer – Food Production and Food & Beverage
Plan, develop, create, and deliver lectures, make presentations; implement learning goals for students. Maintain and improve student evaluations.
Qualifications for a Lecturer
▪ Grade12 School certificate
▪ Bachelor's degree in Education, Teaching Methodology and accredited to TEVETA
▪ Diploma in Food Production and in Food & Beverage services
▪ Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar role
Food Safety Officer - Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized safety officer to ensure a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and providing safety training to other employees. He is responsible for identifying hazards, investigating accidents, and developing preventative measures to minimize workplace risks. As a safety officer he is expected to prepare and present reports on safety issues and ensures compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
▪ Grade 12 School certificate
▪ Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health and safety
▪ Knowledge of legislations and procedures for occupational safety and health
▪ Minimum of 3 years work experience as a safety officer or in a similar role
Head of Production – Job summary
Plan, coordinate, and control production processes and organizing schedules in order to deliver products on time within the budget. Highly creative in the daily works; Implementing food safety and quality management systems while maintaining high hygiene with good leadership skills.
Qualifications and Requirements for Head of Production
▪ Full Grade 12 School Certificate
▪ Degree in food science or its equivalent;
▪ Minimum of 3 years work experience;
▪ Excellent verbal and written communication in English
▪ Member of the Zambia Association for Manufacturers
Chef – Job summary
Managing daily operations of the kitchen, overseeing the kitchen staff to meet all food and labor cost goals. Preparing four course menus: Functional menu, Traditional, Western, Italian dishes and conversant with Food Costing.
▪ Qualifications and Requirements - Chef
▪ Grade 12 School Certificate;
▪ Diploma in Food Production; and
▪ Minimum of 3 years’ work experience as Chef
