Public Relations Assistant

As a Public Relations Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and creative support to the PR team. You’ll play a key role in assisting with media outreach, crafting press materials, and organizing events. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch their career in public relations while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Media Support:

Assist with media outreach, maintaining media lists, and tracking press coverage.

Help draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.

Research & Monitoring:

Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and media outlets.

Monitor press coverage and compile media reports.

Event Assistance:

Support the coordination of PR events, including press conferences, product launches, and influencer or media engagements.

Handle logistics and assist with event promotion.

Content Creation:

Help with writing and editing press releases, blog posts, social media content, and internal communications.

Administrative Support:

Manage PR-related calendars, meetings, and general administrative tasks, including data entry and organizing materials for media outreach.

Social Media Assistance:

Help track and monitor social media activity, engaging with followers and assisting in content creation for various platforms.

Client Liaison:

Support the PR team in maintaining communication with clients and media contacts as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

1-2 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related role.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).

Familiarity with PR tools is a plus.

Enthusiastic, creative, and proactive with a strong interest in media and communications.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently under deadlines.
