ABOUT THE ROLE


Fincred Finance is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Intern to support our Finance team. This is a hands-on opportunity for a recent Accounting graduate to build practical experience across core finance functions in a fast-paced microfinance environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


– Capture and post daily transactions; maintain an accurate cashbook


– Perform daily cash, bank, and mobile money reconciliations


– Process supplier payments, track invoices, and maintain debtor/creditor records


– Prepare payment vouchers and ensure all approvals are in place


– Assist with daily/weekly financial summaries and month-end reconciliations


– Maintain the fixed asset register and conduct periodic asset verification


– Ensure transactions comply with company policies and support audit documentation


– Provide general administrative support to the Finance team


REQUIREMENTS


– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, ZICA, ACCA, CIMA or a related field (recent graduate)

– Basic knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Excel

– Familiarity with accounting software is an added advantage

– Strong attention to detail, analytical, and organisational skills

– Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
