ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service at all times.
2. Accurately process customer purchases, including operating cash registers.
3. Handle cash transactions, ensuring proper accounting of all sales and providing accurate change to customers.
4. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including the arrangement of baking items and promotional displays.
5. Assist customers in selecting bakery products, answering questions about ingredients, prices, and availability.
6. Collaborate with bakery staff to ensure smooth operations and timely services.
7. Uphold high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety protocols.
8. Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, and exchanges.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Must have a full Grade Twelve Certificate.
2. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail, ensuring accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
3. Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred, ideally in a bakery or food service setting.
4. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and team members.
5. Basic knowledge of bakery products and ingredients is a plus.
6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
7. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights when required.
8. Certificate in Accounting, Principles of Accounting, Bookkeeping, or its equivalent will be an added advantage.
